Chandler mourns loss of father, son killed in plane crash

A Chandler Unified School District Ananya student and his father were among those killed in a Nov. 5 small plane crash in Mesa.

The Associated Press reported a small jet crashed into a vehicle on Greenfield Road in Mesa on Nov. 5 after an attempted takeoff from Falcon Field, killing five people, police said.

Authorities identified four of the victims, adding they are all “local Arizona residents.” They included the two East Valley men, one of whom owned a company that owned the plane, a Honda Aircraft HA-420, along with Drew Kimball, 44, and Grahm Kimball, 12, and Ray Longhi, 67, the Mesa resident whose vehicle was struck by the plane struck on Greenfield Road.
