Chandler mayor running for state House

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke is running for one of the two Legislative District 13 House seats in the August 2026 primary.

Kevin Hartke’s running for state House District 13 representative.

If he wins, and one of his former fellow Chandler City Council members wins the mayor’s seat, the two would switch places.

“I’m 100% in,” Hartke told Independent Newsmedia. “I’m reaching out to some supporters and have filed a statement of interest.”
