Chandler mayor, council lean toward lower property tax rate

Daylong budget meeting set for Friday, April 26

Chandler’s City Council weighed in, for the first time this year, on property tax levies for next year at a March 18 budget work session.

While not a voting meeting, the work session marked the first time in this year’s budget cycle any council members spoke publicly on tax levies. That was after Chief Financial Officer Dawn Lang and Budget Director Matt Dunbar presented more than an hour’s worth of numbers.
