Chandler investing in more solar for own facilities

In 2023, the Chandler City Council decided to add sustainability and technology as a focus area in its strategic framework.

That goal prompted staff to, among other projects, find more ways to take advantage of the almost unlimited supply of sunshine in the Valley.

By approving its June 12 consent agenda, the council OKed a $34 million contract with Ameresco, Inc. for solar installations.
