For the second year, the Rawhide Events Center presents its Indian Frybread & Arts Festival — a celebration for guests to experience traditional Native American culture.
The event's set to take place at Rawhide on the Sonoran Lawn on Saturday, Nov. 22, noon to 8 p.m., according to a news release.
Lil Mike & Funny Bone will be the headliners and emcees for the festival. The duo has an award-winning short film documentary, competed in America’s Got Talent, hosted the International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards and is probably best known for its acting in the show Reservation Dogs.

For the second year, the Rawhide Events Center presents its Indian Frybread & Arts Festival — a celebration for guests to experience traditional Native American culture.
The event's set to take place at Rawhide on the Sonoran Lawn on Saturday, Nov. 22, noon to 8 p.m., according to a news release.
Lil Mike & Funny Bone will be the headliners and emcees for the festival. The duo has an award-winning short film documentary, competed in America’s Got Talent, hosted the International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards and is probably best known for its acting in the show Reservation Dogs.
Their music incorporates motivational speaking into traditional hip hop beats.
“Indigenous culture is the fabric of Wild Horse Pass, so it's important for us to honor and celebrate it," said Duncan Wiston, general manager of Gila River Development. "This event is set to have delicious food, meaningful performances and lots of fun.”
Native American culture will be celebrated through a lineup of dances, art, food and music.
There will be Indian frybread and chili cookoff competitions, both of which will be judged on the day of the event. There will be more than a dozen vendors for festival patrons to purchase Indian frybread and chili from, along with more than 40 Indigenous art vendors.
Carnival rides include a Ferris wheel, a fun slide and rides known by name as Himalaya, Rockstar, Sizzler and Vertigo.
Featured Indigenous bands include:
One Way Sky – Alternative Rock (Gila River Indian Community)
Gertie & the T.O. Boyz – Waila Dance Music (Tohono O’odham Nation)
Stateline – Dance Hall Country (Navajo Nation)
Lil Mike & Funny Bone - Rappers (PAWNEE Tribe)
Dancers from Tony Duncan Productions (Apache, Arikara and Hidasta) and Yellow House Dancers (Navajo) will be performing Indigenous dances such as Hoop, Bird, Fancy and Basket.
Sonoran Lawn at Rawhide is at 5244 S. 48th St., Chandler, off of Wild Horse Boulevard and I-10.
