As Andersen Elementary School staff worked toward the goal of becoming an International Baccalaureate Primary Years World School, they learned how much work was involved.
That work culminated with the announcement, in late June, that Andersen had qualified for that certification by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Staff who were a big part of making that happen were recognized by the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board at its June 26 meeting.
Christen Morton is an academic coach at Andersen and its IB program coordinator. She spoke at the June 26 meeting, said it was important to the campus staff that CUSD administration and the board shared a similar mission and vision.
