Chandler ditches Flock cameras after 'anomaly' in use

The city of Chandler is discontinuing its relationship with the Flock Group Inc. for about 40 fixed cameras around the city that read and can track license plates.

The reason, city officials said in a press release, came after a routine audit identified what was described as an “anomaly” that could not be explained through police action.

Officials said they are investigating to determine if the system was used inappropriately and whether there might be discipline involved.
