Chandler Council updated on mental health crisis partnership

The City of Chandler administration is authorized to renew some contracts without the approval of the City Council.

But Mayor Kevin Hartke asked Acting Police Chief Melissa Deanda for an update Monday night on how one contract is implemented. Chandler began contracting in August 2021 with Solari Inc. for crisis response services for the Chandler Police Department.

Since Chandler paid $75,000 to renew its contract with Solari, Hartke asked Deanda, during Monday night’s study session, to walk the council through the process of mental health-related 911 calls being diverted to Solari for responses.
