Chandler Council: Union meeting, flooring, vice mayor choice on tap

The Chandler City Council’s first week of 2026 is set to start with a closed-door meeting — and end with an open one.

A long-planned executive session to discuss city union contracts with the Chandler Law Enforcement Association, the Chandler Lieutenants and Sergeants Association and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 493 Chandler Chapter is planned for 5:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5 in the Chandler City Hall conference room.

That will be followed by a 6 p.m. study session in the main council chamber. Any council member can pull any study session consent item for a presentation, questions and discussion.
