Chandler Council to vote on budget, fire gear, e-bike ordinance this week

A hearing and vote on the city’s annual budget highlight a relatively lean week of meetings for the Chandler City Council.

Council will hold a special meeting after its 6 p.m. regular meeting Thursday, June 11. That special meeting will include only a public hearing and approval of the city’s roughly $1.87 billion fiscal 2027 budget.

With fiscal 2027 starting July 1, the only remaining budget task for council would be to set the primary property tax rate for the year ahead. Council will set that rate the week of June 25.
