East Valley city council picks 4 charter changes to send to voters

Chandler’s City Council has decided to go to voters this November with four charter amendments — though not unanimously.

Council decided, by a 6-1 vote, April 23 to place four proposed charter amendments on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Angel Encinas was the lone “no” vote on the ordinances, saying there were elements that were “foundational to Chandler’s culture and traditions.”
