The Chandler City Council approved a fairly large dollar-figure annual contract at its May 8 regular meeting as part of one of its smallest number of agenda items in recent memory.
There were only 11 items on the consent agendas for both the May 5 study session and the May 8 regular meeting. Those items included a $17.3 million, one-year contract with M.R. Tanner Development and Construction for street maintenance repaving, surface seal and repair services.
No council members asked for any of the 11 items to be pulled for discussion at either the study or at the regular meeting.
