Chandler Council member’s suit vs. city changes, court dates scheduled

A Chandler City Council member who’s suing the government she serves has some more court dates planned — some of them, months and months away.

A March 6 scheduling order from Maricopa County Superior Court judge Michael D. Gordon sets out several dates. Probably the most prominent is an Oct. 18 telephonic trial scheduling conference.

The order states the two parties in the suit propose a trial date of no later than Nov. 16, by which time the case will be about two years old.
