Chandler Council hears about need for, cost of new crime lab

While nothing is cheap in local government anymore, finding $60 million isn’t easy for any city or town.

That’s the estimated cost of replacing the Chandler Police Department’s crime laboratory in some way, according to data presented at a July 15 work session by Alicia Rosenberg, forensic services manager.

She went over the limitations of the current 4,500-square-foot lab, which was completed in 1999.
