Chandler council approves slight dip in tax rate

The Chandler City Council’s unanimous approval of its annual property tax levies, at its June 29 meeting, put an official end to the fiscal year 2024 budget planning cycle.

At that meeting, the council approved a primary levy would technically drop — by one penny — from $1.10 to $1.09 per $100 of tax valuation, while the secondary rate will remain at 87 cents per $100 of valuation.

However, most property owners will see a small increase in city taxes, as the value of property continues to rise throughout Chandler.
