Chandler council approves multi-use trail improvements

Residents of northwest Chandler are getting some improvements to a canal trail.

At its May 25 meeting, the Chandler City Council approved a $575,000 design contract with Kimley-Horn & Associates for the Kyrene Branch and Highline Canal shared use path.

The Chandler portion of the multi-use path will run north from near West Laredo Street, near Valley Christian’s high school campus, across Ray Road and along the canal between housing developments. It continues into the city of Tempe just southwest of the intersection of Kyrene and West Knox roads.
