Chandler Council approves 76-unit housing plan

​After lengthy hearings with Chandler’s City Council and with its Planning and Zoning Commission, K. Hovnanian Homes got its wish May 23.

The council voted unanimously at the meeting to approve rezoning and preliminary development plan for a 76-home development. Viviendo will be built on the 15.5-acre site on the southeast corner of Ocotillo and McQueen roads.

After hearing staff and residents talk about the project in its regular meeting, and asking many questions of city staff and representative Ralph Pew, council voted to allow for the Viviendo subdivision with one provision.
