Chandler Council accepts grant for tree education

In September of last year, the U.S. Forest Service announced funding awards of $1.13 billion to 385 projects, of various aims, nationwide.

At its March 18 meeting, the Chandler City Council heard how some of that money will benefit its constituents.

John Sefton, the community services director for the city, replied to Council member Christine Ellis’ request for more information about a sub-recipient grant agreement with for $767,000 in pass-through funding from the U.S. Forest Service.
