Ten-year updates of municipalities’ general plans are required by Arizona statute. Thursday, the Chandler City Council is set to take a major step toward its next update.
A $525,000 consulting contract with Logan Simpson Design Inc. is for the process for an update to both the city’s general plan and its comprehensive housing plan.
Two city staff members told the Chandler City Council about the general and comprehensive housing plan update processes and timelines at the council’s Oct. 14 study session. Council approved the consulting contract for those update processes at its Thursday, Oct. 17 meeting.
