Chandler city staff: Homeless population growing, moving

The Chandler neighborhood resources director explained the growing homelessness problem in the city and in the Valley in terms of more people seeking homeless services than there are getting into housing and resolving their crises.

It’s happening by an almost 2-to-1 ratio, Powell said, speaking at a Jan. 23 Chandler City Council work session on homelessness services and law changes.
