Chandler budget requests account for inflation, price hikes

Council to vote on $1.629B budget Thursday, May 23

When the Chandler City Council sits down to tentatively adopt its fiscal 2025 budget at  its Thursday, May 27, 6 p.m. meeting, it will be taking into account requests from dozens of city departments for capital purchases, new staff positions and other new spending.

Final budget adoption would take place Thursday, June 13.

The city’s April 26 daylong budget briefing revealed major capital projects, planned added positions or simply a significantly increased departmental budget set for fiscal 2025.
