Charities recently distributed almost $638,000 to local nonprofits, including a number of nonprofits that serve Arizona communities.
Cox employees raised the money, which has been distributed to 130 Arizona nonprofits in the form of Cox Charities grants as part of a program that began in 1996.
The nonprofits that serve the Chandler area and received Cox grants this year include the Si Se Puede Foundation, Assistance League of East Valley, Gabriel’s Angels, ICAN Positive Programs of Youth, the Midwest Food Bank and Pawsitive Friendships.
Since 1996, Cox Arizona employees have raised nearly $10.5 million and awarded grants to 1,851 local Arizona nonprofits.
