A 3-year-old boy died Sunday, six days after being pulled from a backyard pool in Chandler, police said.
Trigg Kiser had been hospitalized since May 12 when Chandler police and firefighters responded to a drowning call on Ashley Drive.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the child's family and loved ones during this unimaginable time," the Chandler Police Department stated in a news release.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrouding the incident.
"This is still an open investigation. Out of respect for the family's privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed," the release stated.
