Chandler: $2M for utility billing software

The city of Chandler is set to spend more than $2 million this week on new software for its utility billing.

One of the items on Monday night’s Chandler City Council study session consent agenda is a $2.228 million appropriation for the “implementation” of a computer program called Infinity CIS version 5, according to a staff report.

The software will replace CIS Infinity version 3, which was implemented in 2014. Staff said the system is outdated and has significant limitations, hindering Chandler’s efforts to “optimize utility billing services and related processes for Chandler residents.”
