‘Cesar Chavez Boulevard’ signs to be added to Baseline Road in Phoenix

Phoenix City Council voted unanimously last week to put ceremonial “Cesar Chavez Boulevard” signs along Baseline Road to honor the late Arizonan labor leader and civil rights activist.

The road still will be called Baseline Road, but blue Cesar Chavez Boulevard signs will be added directly below the green Baseline Road signs. Phoenix did something similar in 2015, putting blue “Martin Luther King Boulevard” signs along Broadway Road.
