Paradise Valley Town Council is moving forward with a resolution related to cell phone carriers and infrastructure, ultimately aiming to improve cellular coverage in town.
On Oct. 27, the Paradise Valley Town Council discussed a draft resolution that would streamline applications made by cellular carriers when new applications are received. This resolution comes at a time when five new cell sites have been identified by town staff and industry professionals that are estimated to most effectively improve cell coverage within town.
The process to review and consider these cell sites is administrative and processed through the Planning Commission; the resolution being considered by Town Council, in part, is essentially a statement of direction for the commission to develop a set of criteria to provide direction to cell service providers, according to a town staff report.
