Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month in Peoria
Posted
This month, the city of Peoria is celebrating parks, trails, and open spaces with the National Recreation and Park Association’s theme: “Where Community Grows.”
This year, Park and Recreation Month is focused on celebrating the vital role park and recreation professionals play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of communities.
Park and recreation professionals make a positive impact on their community members every single day. Residents are invited to share their experiences and memories about Peoria parks and recreation staff and facilities on social media, using the hashtag #WhereCommunityGrows.
