Mexican Independence Day will be celebrated for the fifth time at the ASU Art Museum, 51 E. 10th St., Tempe.
The event, 5-8 p.m. Sept. 15, will honor the contributions and culture of the Mexican and Mexican-American communities and acknowledge “independence days across the Americas," according to a release.
It is taking place in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico, CALA Alliance and the School of Transborder Studies.

Mexican Independence Day will be celebrated for the fifth time at the ASU Art Museum, 51 E. 10th St., Tempe.
The event, 5-8 p.m. Sept. 15, will honor the contributions and culture of the Mexican and Mexican-American communities and acknowledge “independence days across the Americas," according to a release.
It is taking place in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico, CALA Alliance and the School of Transborder Studies.
The evening will feature El Grito from the Consul Armando Esparza, art activities, face painting, a workshop with artist Aileen Martinez, lotería games, salsa lessons with the ASU Salsa Club, music from DJ CRVNT3S and Mariachi, food from Salsa Bites and more.
