CD5 House candidate Schaffner advocates for 'everyday families,' blasts Biggs

The Democrat opposing incumbent Andy Biggs in the race for the U.S. Congressional District 5 House of Representatives seat emphasized economic relief for families and small business Thursday in her Clean Elections Commission appearance.

Katrina Schaffner also took advantage of Biggs declining his invitation to what was supposed to be a debate to criticize the four-term Republican congressman and former chairman of the House Freedom Caucus for his alignment with wealthy interests and lack of effective governance.

“Andy Biggs is a wealthy man who serves even wealthier men, and I believe it's time to stop playing politics and start governing,” Schaffner said.
