CD1 Preliminary results: Feely, Shah take leads after initial ballot counts

The preliminary results are in for Congressional District 1.

As of 9:20 p.m., there were 831,709 ballots cast with a 19.31% turnout and 6% of precincts reporting. There are 4,306,554 registered voters, according to the results posted on the Secretary of State website. 

Republican Thomas “Jay” Feely has taken an early lead with 31,156 votes (49.4%) over Joseph Chaplik’s 22,193 votes (35.2%).
