Izzy Ray and Caylee Walding have been the keepers of the Willow Canyon softball program’s flame, particularly in the 2025 season.
This year, Walding is not the only senior on the roster, joined by first-year varsity player Taytum Kennard. But she is the last remaining link to the Wildcats’ teams that made three straight 5A state finals, winning the title in 2021 and 2022.
“We push ourselves to be like the 23s and the 22s. The state teams really made us be who we are today. They’re our inspiration and we want to turn out like them,” Walding said.
