Cave Creek to approve water agreement with Peoria in special meeting

The Cave Creek Town Council will meet Tuesday to approve an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Peoria to trade water storage credits.

The town has stored credits with its unused water allocations with the Central Arizona Project.

With the anticipated cut in Colorado River water coming to the town starting in 2027, the town council has been looking at ways to recoup what it is anticipated to lose via other methods.
