Remus Rizea, 58, died Wednesday at the scene of a crash after he lost control of the three-wheeled motorcycle he was driving, Phoenix police said.

The crash near the 14000 block of North Cave Creek Road occurred about 1:15 p.m. March 19.

Officers arrived to find Rizea with signs of trauma. Fire department personnel arrived and determined he died at the scene.

Preliminary information suggests Rizea was riding on private property when he lost control and collided with a curb. He was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on Cave Creek Road, police said, adding the investigation remains active.
