SUN CITY - Catherine "Katie" Curran Linder, of Sun City, passed away peacefully on Jan. 23, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born on March 6, 1920, in Jersey City, N.J. A long time resident to Pearl River, N.Y., she enjoyed a career as an Animal Technician for 30+ years. She and her mother "Kitsie" were the first mother and daughter to be inducted into the "25-Year Club" of American Cyanamid's Lederle Division. She was married for 32 years to the "love of her life" Zoltan Linder who was a professional dancer and entertainer. They were long time residents of Glendale. Catherine was a 25 year volunteer for Sun Health. She was a resident of Royal Oaks in Sun City for the past six years. Catherine was the beloved aunt of Pamela Curran Bleakney of Sun City West, and Susan Curran Turi of Ormond Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Francis Curran and Catherine "Kitsie" Taylor; brothers, John Henry Curran, Peter Curran; sister, Emma Curran and her loving husband, Zoltan Linder. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
