Castle Hot Springs named no. 1 resort hotel for second consecutive year
Posted
"Travel + Leisure" announced the 2022 winners of the annual World’s Best Awards including luxury desert oasis Castle Hot Springs, which has been named the no. 1 resort hotel in Arizona for the second consecutive year.
The resort will be honored in this year’s edition of the "Travel + Leisure" World’s Best Awards.
Each year, the readers of "Travel + Leisure" share their thoughts on destinations, hotels, resorts, spas, and more in their annual survey. The illustrious list—curated on reader-generated survey responses—recognizes the greatest destinations spanning the world on all seven continents, according to a news release. "Travel + Leisure" recognized the 500 best hotels around the globe, as voted by readers.
Providing travelers with the perfect respite surrounded by nature, Arizona’s first luxury and wellness resort originally made its debut in 1896 and has been re-established as one of the most idyllic luxury outdoor destination resorts in the country offering an abundance of wellness, adventure and culinary experiences.
Once a western hideaway and retreat of choice for America’s titans of industry such as the Cabots, Vanderbilts, Wrigleys, Roosevelts and Astors, Castle Hot Springs has hosted some of America’s most prominent families throughout the early 1900s. The destination weaves the rich and storied history throughout the resort, culminating in a tranquil desert oasis that encourages visitors to reconnect with their surroundings and unplug from the outside world.
The 1,100-acre hideaway set against the Bradshaw Mountains, just 50 miles outside of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and close to the northern boundary of Peoria, is a 30-room desert oasis boasting contemporary luxury in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. Allowing each guest experience to interact and immerse with the surrounding natural elements, Castle Hot Springs’ amenities and activities range from soaking in the mineral-rich geo-thermal hot springs to scaling new heights on the Via Ferrata adventure course. Guests may also enjoy a more leisurely tour and taste of the property’s award-winning and sustainably-driven farm to peruse and pick from an array of produce that is featured daily across the menus of the on-property dining destination, Harvest Restaurant.
Earlier this spring, the property introduced a brand-new wellness menu with enhanced treatments, therapies, and body rituals that maximize the benefits of the hot springs’ unique mineral mixture – particularly rich in Lithium, Magnesium, and Bicarbonates which together help lift your mood, calm your mind, and ease physical stress. Additional new programming in 2022 includes a gong bath sound ceremony, mindfulness activities, a homegrown gardening workshop, scenic desert e-bike tour, and an ATV Razor tour.
Adding to the property’s already impressive portfolio of accolades since reopening in 2019, Castle Hot Springs' recognitions include Condé Nast Traveler’s 2021 Reader’s Choice Awards and a "USA Today" 10 Best Best All-Inclusive Resort, 2021, among others.
This year’s World’s Best Awards will be published in the August 2022 issue of "Travel + Leisure."
