Caroleta “Jean” Rangel
Caroleta “Jean” Rangel, 84 passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 in El Paso TX. With her daughters by her side.
She was born in Vilonia, Arkansas on July 14, 1937 to Edgar V. Ruple and Charlsie Pearl Powell. Jean lived in California most of her life, before retiring in Surprise, Arizona. She loved spending time at the beach and enjoyed the mountains of Big Bear, California and Heber, Arizona.
Jean was married to Russel Baldwin on September 23, 2004. Together they lived in Surprise, AZ. However, due to her declining health, she relocated to El Paso, TX to live with her daughter Rhonda. Here she remained until her passing.
Jean was a woman of Faith, with a strong belief in her relationship with God. She was an avid church goer and participated frequently in church activities. She always had her Bible and studied her Bible verses. She was a hard working woman, even through her later years. She had very strong morals and values, and took pride in living by them. Her greatest pride was truly her family. She was an amazing mother, loving grandmother, and the best great grandmother anyone could have ever asked for.
Jean had a keen eye for decorating and always looked sharp. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, and playing cards or board games with friends and family. She maintained several life long friendships, and felt very blessed for them.
Jean is survived by her three daughters: Donna Byler(Randy), Rhonda Azevedo(Fred), and Terri Olson(Brent); two sisters: Judy Prato(Dick), and Kathy Hodges(Ron); 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Jean is preceded by her parents, her nephew Steven Prato and son-in-law Charles Freddrick “Fred” Azevedo.
She will be missed dearly, as she left an unforgettable mark in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
No services will be held, however, a celebration of life will take place on July 14, 2022, in El Paso, TX.
