Carol Jean DeAmbra

Carol, 77, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her devoted family including her husband, children and her youngest brother. Born on April 3, 1947, in Fall River, MA, to George Farias and Imogene Murr, Carol was the older sister of Normand, Dennis and Allen Farias.
Carol was a lifelong seamstress and quilter, giving away hundreds of quilts to form a legacy of beautiful designs and vibrant colors.
Carol played in the bell choir at Lord of Life Lutheran Church and assumed leadership roles in various community organizations, including serving as the Head of the Quilters at Lord of Life and President of the Latin & Ballroom Dance Club.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Murr and her brother, Dennis Farias. She is survived by her husband, Louis DeAmbra; daughter, Antoinette (Toni) Samudio (Jaime); son, Doug DeAmbra (Caitlyn); grandchildren: Livan, Alexandra and Vincent Samudio and Micheal, Morgan and Merrick Dockham; her brothers, Normand Farias and Allen Farias and her father.
Donations may be made in Carol’s honor to the Quilters or the Bell Choir at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in AZ.
Carol’s indomitable spirit, kindness, laughter and generosity will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence. May she rest in eternal peace.
