Carol Folkestad

SUN CITY - Carol Folkestad passed away on Feb. 15, 2017, and is now with the Lord, she will be solely missed. Beloved mother and sister; member of Eastern Star; was Rosie the Riveter during the war; and ran her own child care center for 18 years. Proceeded by brother, Alan Henderson; sister, Lillian Travis; and husband of 48 years, Charles Folkestad. Survived by son, Alan and wife, Marge, of Centennial, Colo.; son, Steve, of Sun City; brother, James Henderson, of Oconomoc, Wisc.; grandson, Andy and wife, Amy, of Centennial, Colo.; granddaughter, Stephanie, of Centennial, Colo.; granddaughter, Amanda, of Buffalo, Minn.; grandson, Joel; great-grandsons, Robert and Hunter, of Centennial, Colo; and a great-granddaughter in Minnesota. Memorial service at Willowbrook Methodist Church in Sun City, on Mar. 4, 2017, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to Willowbrook Methodist Church, 19390 N. 99th Ave., Sun City, AZ 85373.
