Cardinals to host Draft Party in Glendale

Team has two picks in the first round

The Arizona Cardinals are inviting fans to the annual Draft Party to watch the team build for the future.

The NFL Draft takes place April 25-27 in Detroit, but the Cardinals and their fans will celebrate the first round locally with a party on the Great Lawn outside of State Farm Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive, in Glendale.

Gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 followed by NFL Network coverage at 5. A junior cheer mini-clinic for kids with the Cardinals cheerleaders starts at 6, and the night will end with a fireworks show at 9.

The Cardinals boast the No. 4 overall pick in the draft plus the 27th pick of the first round, which arrived via a trade with Houston. The franchise has 11 total draft picks including six in the top 90, which is most in the NFL.

With a 4-13 record a year ago, Arizona finished last in the NFC West, which included an 0-6 run in the division.

The team has many needs, and numerous draft trackers show the Cardinals with the No. 4 pick taking wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. out of Ohio State, who is considered the best non-quarterback talent in the draft.

However, the team also could elect to trade the pick.

The draft party outside the stadium on April 25 will include appearances by Cardinals players, cheerleaders and Big Red, plus interactive games and exhibits, including a 200-foot zipline, a rock wall, and a 360-degree photo booth.

Food and drinks will also be available on site, along with a live DJ.

Fans should note that there will be clear bag policy in effect at the draft party.

Free parking at State Farm Stadium will be available in the Southwest Orange lot off 95th Avenue and Cardinals Way.

Even though admission is free this will be a ticketed event. Click here to get tickets.
