Cardinals player arrested for speeding through Scottsdale, police say
Posted
An Arizona Cardinals rookie linebacker has been arrested for excessive speed and reckless driving, Scottsdale police officials say.
Zaven Collins, 22, was observed driving 76 MPH in a 35-MPH zone at 10:04 a.m. on Sunday, June 20, near 7400 E. Chaparral Road, officials say.
A traffic stop was conducted, and Collins was placed under arrest for the violations.
Collins was booked and released later that day, police say.
According to published news reports, Collins was the No. 16 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. He reportedly signed a four-year rookie deal with the Cardinals on June 8.
