Cardinals open Training Camp in Glendale with no Fitz yet

12 sessions will be open to the public

The Arizona Cardinals opened Training Camp in Glendale Tuesday morning, and the Larry Fitzgerald Watch is on high alert.

The free agent, who turns 38 next month, is currently not under contract and was not present at the first workout of the preseason. The legendary wide receiver hasn’t shared his plans publicly for the 2021 season, be it to return to the Cardinals for an 18th season, sign with another team, or retire.

Cardinals insider Darren Urban tweeted from practice Tuesday morning that Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury said “The ball is in his court,” and that the team will have a plan in place if Fitzgerald shows up or does not.
