Car slams into pole in 2-vehicle Phoenix collision, teen dead

An 18-year-old man died Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision sent his car into a pole, Phoenix police said.
The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. Oct. 13 near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.
When police officers arrived, they found Dominic Mathias Linares, 18, with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to a release.

An 18-year-old man died Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision sent his car into a pole, Phoenix police said.
The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. Oct. 13 near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.
When police officers arrived, they found Dominic Mathias Linares, 18, with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to a release.
Detectives said initial indications are Linares was northbound on 19th Avenue when a vehicle turned left on Indian School Road. The cars collided at which time Linares’s vehicle was redirected into the pole.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor, police said, adding detectives’ investigation in continuing.
