Car hits, kills 70-year-old man running across south Phoenix street: PD

A man was killed after being hit by a car about 7:55 p.m. Nov. 8 near 1600 East Southern Avenue in Phoenix, authorities said.

Francisco Gonzales died following the collision at 16^th Street near Southern Avenue where police said witnesses reported he was running across the road.

The woman driving the car stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, officials said, adding an investigation is continuing.

A man was killed after being hit by a car about 7:55 p.m. Nov. 8 near 1600 East Southern Avenue in Phoenix, authorities said.

Francisco Gonzales died following the collision at 16^th Street near Southern Avenue where police said witnesses reported he was running across the road.
