Car crashes into semi-truck on Phoenix street, 18-year-old dies

An 18-year-old man died at the scene Monday after his car crashed into the rear of a semi-truck at 500 N. 51st St., Phoenix police said.

Jamison Lamont Saunders died in the collision that occurred at about 2 a.m. June 29, police said. The driver of the semi‑truck was not injured.

Early information indicates Saunders failed to control his speed.
