SUN CITY - In Loving Memory: Capt. Leonard A. Plein U.S. Navy USNRR, SC, 78 years old, passed away too heaven on August 27, 2015. Leonard was born on April 2, 1937 in Winona, Minn. He was a native of Phoenix, Ariz. He battled with Parkinson's disease and progressive supranuclear palsy towards the end of life. Leonard A. Plein was blessed by a loving and caring wife, Mary C. Plein, his wife of 51 years; son, Gregory P. Plein and wife Vicki; and his pride and joy, granddaughter, Ava Grace Plein. He was also survived by two brothers, Gene and wife Diane and Ken Plein. Capt. Leonard A. Plein graduated from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minn. Capt. Leonard A. Plein was stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, serving with the U.S. Pacific fleet, Supply Corp., and many Navy bases throughout California. He also served on board the destroyer USS Newell (DER 322) and in the Vietman War. Leonard Plein retired from the U.S. Navy and worked as a premium audit consultant with Industrial Indemnity Insurance. He managed many years serving as audit manager later retiring from the auditing insurance industry. We will miss him forever and will never forget how much he touched all of our lives. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, scripture 2 Timothy 4:7.
