Special to Independent Newsmedia
The 12th annual Ignite Hope Candlelight Celebration raised more than $548,000 on the strength of 2,600 participants.
This month’s event in Phoenix featured a holiday festival followed by a heartfelt candlelit walk to shine light and kindle the flames of hope for patients at Phoenix Children’s. The walk began at North High School and ended at Phoenix Children’s where thousands gathered in unity with their candles to light the way to hope and healing for patients.
All money raised benefit patients and families at Phoenix Children’s through different centers of excellence like the Barrow Neurological Institute, Behavioral and Mental Health, Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Center for Cleft and Craniofacial, Center for Fetal and Neonatal Care or Center for Heart Care, along with other areas of impact like therapeutic arts, volunteer services and more.
