Three candidates vying for sheriff of Maricopa County are expected to be interviewed on Tuesday morning, according to a press release.
The candidates — Jeffrey Kirkham, Patrick Valenzuela Sr. and Russ Skinner — are expected to be interviewed separately in the morning hours on Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors in executive session, the press release stated.
Skinner, the chief deputy sheriff, “has filled the role” since Sheriff Paul Penzone’s last day in office on Jan. 12, according to the press release.
