For a number of years the Sun City Home Owners Association and Recreation Centers of Sun City had trouble finding enough candidates to fill board vacancies in their annual elections.
But both agencies conducted more aggressive recruiting approaches and for a few years there were more candidates for each board then positions expiring. But now things seem to be rolling back to the previous trend.
SCHOA officials will conduct their election in early November with four seats to fill. The RCSC board election is conducted in early-December with three seats open this year. Generally, both organizations have three seats expiring each year. But due to resignations, there have been more in past years. Candidate packets were available for both early in the summer. The deadline for SCHOA candidates is Friday, Sept. 30 while prospective RCSC candidate prospects must have their filed by noon Friday, Oct. 7.
