Canal escapes: Residents can enjoy SRP’s 131 miles of canal paths

Phoenix continues to develop Canal Scape, open spaces and walkways along the city’s canals.

As Valley residents climb out of their summer hibernation, thousands are taking to bicycling, strolling or jogging along the miles and miles of canal-front paths.

While many may think their cities and towns are responsible for the recreational areas of their canal paths, they would be wrong. They are SRP territory – all 131 miles of them.
