Sun City West reader implores motorists to drive like it’s their loved one in the street
Metro Creative Connection
It’s fall, and the snowbirds are returning. Hopefully, all had a great summer and are eager to dodge cold weather up north!
Let’s all keep in mind that there will be more traffic now.
I want to remind everyone that none of us is getting any younger, and that some folks can’t walk across streets as fast as they used to. My own wife had a stroke a few years ago, and has foot neuropathy, slowing her down somewhat. Others have to use walkers or canes to maneuver, and can’t zip across a street.

Here is the thing: Everyone needs to slow down at the wheel. Some streets are thoroughfares, and at times are like the Indy 500, with the speeders!
Please, keep the speeds down. Drive as if one of your loved ones were crossing a street. Thank you.
